Business Intelligence

• Designed and maintained Business Objects reports, universes and security across both Oracle and SQL Server data sources, including Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i.
• Evaluated Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Warehouse Builder and Business Objects as part of a global team.
• Lead team to design new staging and star schemas for the HR business function of a global data warehouse, rationalising over ninety worldwide HR related reports to about twenty with global business definitions for all reporting fields.
• Specified and built Business Objects v6 infrastructure to investigate new v6 functionality.

• Provided 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support both on-site and off-site for applications and hardware issues utilising Clarify ClearSupport and other tools for issue tracking.
• Specified, built, configured and maintained Microsoft servers for Business Objects v5, liaising with infrastructure team over the various architectures to ensure best performance for European user base.
• Performed Business Objects client and server technical maintenance upgrades and system stabilisation tasks.

Analysis, Development and Solutioning

• Technical Lead and Architect to develop a system and data schema to collect employee related HR data from several different HR systems all over the world into one Oracle HRMS instance in US utilising HRMS PL/SQL api's.
• Improved ETL month-end performance by a factor of ten through schema and algorithm enhancements as well as providing support and debugging functionality in live production environments, resulting in process completion times dropping from several hours to minutes. Oracle data sources included GL and INV with AOL integration.
• Designed and implemented schema and algorithms to ensure integrity of data extracted from Oracle Inventory, including use of materialised views, rollups, and data handoff views to Hyperion Planning.
• Designed, developed and enhanced applications integrating Oracle Applications, Oracle data warehousing, PL/SQL, ASP, JAVA, XHTML, CSS, WSH, Scripting, Excel VBA, and Business Objects technology stacks.
